Lhamaeans are a special kind of Dark Eldar courtesan and are the closest thing to a 'proper lady' in Commorragh (although recent lore has downplayed their role as concubines). They are often part of an Archon's personal court retinue, (along with their brain bugs, psychotic cannibals, and yesss-men), and are thus vain beyond measure. These women are members of the mysterious sisterhood of Lhilitu, who are sought after for their knowledge of extremely potent toxins, useful for dispatching foes in Commoragh and realspace alike (and also for being skilled and creative at sex in 5th edition lore). Flesh made to devour itself, brains swelling until they burst through skulls, Lhamaeans thrive on the most imaginative, unusual ways a poison can kill. One particularly unfortunate Drukhari victim aged like he drank from the wrong grail chalice, his skin turning to dust, only to be continuously revitalized so the process can begin anew. He's kept on display for very important reasons.
They are believed to be descended from the original Cult of Lhamea, who in turn drew much of their knowledge from Shaimesh, the Father of Poisons. They are essentially so good, that merely a blown kiss can kill within seconds.
Despite being part of Archon's court, they aren't disposable losers like most Drukhari. The fact that they are masters of poison often elevates them to an Archon's right hand man lady. Thus they hold far more power than what their position might imply. In some cases, like the phrase "For every powerful man there is always a woman pulling the strings", a Lhamaean can be so influential and seductive that they are often the ones leading an entire Dark Eldar Kabal, with the Archon becoming so dependent on her that she effectively has him by the balls (metaphorically, but sometimes also literally).
However, most of the time Lhamaeans are employed as a support unit when an Archon is too busy torturing and maiming his foes to even bother with other minor threats. Her wide range of toxic weapons like the Shaimeshi Blade means she can and will poison your entire Hierophant for shits and giggles while at the same time, she'll be poisoning all of your capillary towers in order to turn your entire Hive Fleet into a husk of dead biomass.
Tabletop[edit]
On the tabletop, Lhamaeans are basically Wyches with poisoned weapons that wound at +2 and do a mortal wound on a 6. There's really not much reason to grab them compared to the others, other than to pad out the list and some bonus poison. Nice, cheap and great +2 poisoned attacks though so don't be afraid to take one or two if you are looking to fill up the last seats in your Archon's party bus. She rerolls hits with one nearby.
Woah, hold on a sec, they have 2 attacks base with +2 poison, take ten for 160 points (they take up no slots with an Archon in the detachment), put them in a raider and launch it at something you want to die! Enjoy your 20 attacks that wound on 2s. For 160 points you could do far worse.
