What raised this horrible and all-too-common exit from the Prime Material into Meme territory is the ''[[Oregon Trail]]'' game, commonly imposed upon American schoolkids, especially west of the Mississippi, who played this game because it was at least more fun and educational than sitting through an American history lecture preached by the football coach. Actual diverticulitis might have been more fun and educational than that.
