Racial Character Classes are a game mechanic utilized across the Palladium Books line of roleplaying games, such as RIFTS and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They serve as a way to allow players to play exotic, unusual, or inherently powerful creatures such as dragons or cyborgs by tying racial abilities to a level-based progression system identical to that of the more conventional job-based classes (known in Palladium as Occupational Character Classes), as well as attaching culturally-favored or biologically innate skills and weapon proficiencies to the inherent choice of race.

Psychic Character Classes often function in a similar manner to Racial Character Classes, but the term is more rarely used - in fact, only Beyond the Supernatural, Nightbane and Palladium Fantasy uses it.
