On XXX XX, 20XX, en route from the Antarctic outpost to Nerv Boston with the US Third Fleet, the Angel designated "Gaghiel" was detected approaching the fleet at high speed. The Angel was both enormous (almost the size of an aircraft carrier) and fast. Likely that it was attempting to recover the Lance of Longinus, before said Lance could be safely stored inside the GeoFront.

Angel was aquatic. Core located at the back of it's mouth. Units 11 and 13 were on standby, Units 10 and 12 pilots scrambled to position.

Unit 12 began taking potshots at the approaching Angel, to little effect. As soon as the Angel was within range, Units 11 and 13 jumped from their carrier and landed on the Angel's back, holding on with Prog Knives. The Angel careened away from the fleet, then turned and approached again, at which point Unit 10 also jumped on. The three Evas proceeded to slice open the Angel and expose its core, which they then destroyed. The resulting explosion wiped out most small craft in the fleet.

Note to talk to pilots about proper battlefield decorum. It is never appropriate to "fist bump" in a combat situation, especially with giant robots. Additionally, pilots seemed more focused on "hanging ten" than on dispatching the target. [Oh, Rashiid, you're no fun. -Eric]
