Seen in the Silhouette Core Deluxe version, this' the titular system employed by every Dream Pod 9 created role-playing game. Specifically made with Mecha related RPGs in mind, this system covers both character and mechanical design with a non linear intent, outright encouraging going off the proverbial plantation and running wild with it if one so chooses. Thanks to a fuck-ton of playtesting, more than there are people actually playing it right now, Silhouette has managed to strike an easy middle ground of balanced enough to be fair but deadly enough to get one invested and not sleepwalk through the game, all while being complex enough to make you feel superior just for having it.
