Golden Age is an attempt to use the Spirit of the Century system for the superheroic genre. Expect the usual high-adventure action, but with the addition of flung lightning, incredible strength, and insane preparedness.
System[edit]
The system will borrow from Spirit of the Century's Skills and Feats system, adding Powers, which are similar in function and execution to Skills.
Powers[edit]
Players will select one of the following options for powers:
- Special Power and Physical Power
- Special Power and an additional Great Skill
- Physical Power and an additional Superb Skill
- An additional Superb Skill and an additional Great Skill
This levels the playing field for both Batman and Superman, as Batman will have more diverse talents even if he can't necessarily break through a brick wall.
Atmosphere[edit]
The game is meant to be less-quantified than other superhero RPGs such as Mutants and Masterminds and thus fits a more Golden Age of superheroes. As such, expect brightly-colored tights, snappy catchphrases, and Adam West-era campiness all around.
To-Do List[edit]
- Balancing Powers
- What is part of the Power and what is a Stunt?
- Costs
- Do Powers and/or Stunts cost anything?
- Consider implementing separate pool of fate points (called power points) that work the same way for this purpose.
