Court of Thorns

They've got the wool pulled over their eyes, but you - you're no fool, are you? There's no escape, no war, no closure. All of this - just another one of Their illusions. We're slaves and always will be, so wouldn't you rather be the favored one? All They ask is that we love Them and They will give us the freedom to do anything They permit. Come, let me show you the land of do-as-thou-wilt. Let me show you the Thorns.

• Associations - Chaos, creation, infinity, rabbits, plagiarism, beginnings, green, gossamer, solipsism, wolves, sterility, thorns, roses, poison, color, apples, indulgence.
• Contracts of Duplication. Copying emotions, effects, and other things imperfectly. Preserving hedge gates. Five dot = Temporary Fetch.

Court of Iron

The mind is a machine. Or the product of a machine, the brain. You know this to be true. What you and I experienced was nothing more nor less than a protracted malfunction. There is a process to fix things. It may seem... fanciful, at first, but I assure you, it's temporary. Soon, we can put all fantasy behind us. Which will you trust: The false ephemera of dreams, or cold, solid Iron?

Fall Quarter

• Contracts of Matriculation - beginnings (but not endings), meeting people, imparting desire or dread of an occurrence.
• Emotion - Anticipation

Winter Quarter

• Contracts of Examination - knowledge, study, learning, scrutiny, judgment
• Emotion - Frustration

Spring Quarter

• Contracts of Graduation - endings (but not beginnings), closure, memory
• Emotion - Nostalgia

Summer Quarter

• Contracts of Relaxation - putting things off, peace of mind, ignoring trouble, diffusing tension
• Emotion - Procrastination

Revised Directional Courts

Court of the North

Usually, if we think of the word North, we think of the vast expanses of Siberia and Canada. It also evokes stubbornness, spirituality, or even a sense of direction (compasses always point north). On the other hand, it could also symbolize desolation (the Siberian and Canadian wilderness) or punishment (gulags in Siberia).

• Emotion - stubbornness, spiritual, despair

Court of the East

The East is where the sun rises, and is usually associated to Asia, especially East Asia. Honor, technological advancement, strict government, hard work ethos are some things that can be attributed to the East.

• Emotion - honor, authoritative, curious

Court of the South

South seems to be Florida, Pacific islands, Africa, Australia, or South America. White beaches, vacation, relaxation are evoked by South, but also anarchy, disease, poverty and natural danger.

• Emotion - relaxation, zeal, delirium

Court of the West

Wild West, land of the setting sun, where liberty is held high. A sense of nationalism, freedom, wilderness, and a land of plenty can be felt if you're in the West.

• Emotion - freedom, contentment, pride

Planetary Courts

Courts based on the 7 days of week according to the ancient planetary associations.
