The Cepheus Engine is a retroclone based off of Classic Traveller. Basically the same system, but strips out anything from the Third Imperium setting, making it easier to apply the system to new settings. Currently the version published by Samardan Press is the "official" version, but companies like Moon Toad Publishing and Stellagamma Publishing have made their own takes on the rules.
Has inspired various alternate settings, most notably Hostile by Zozer Games, a setting based off of 70s/80s sci-fi horror movies like Alien and Outland.
