stub Trudvang, more formally called the Trudvang Chronicles is a Viking Ethnic Fantasy roleplaying game created by a company called "RiotMinds". It has its own unique systems and multiple splatbooks, although a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition conversion is in beta-testing at the moment. ==Land== Trudvang is set in a continent which is divided into three primary locales - the eastern Stormlands, Westmark (take a guess where that sits), and the realm of Mittland, which lies between Westmark and the Stormlands. At the south is the archipelago of Soj, home of the elves, whilst the northern mountains and forests are collectively called Nhoordland, which ultimately gives way to the arctic realm of the Great White. ==Gods== There are multiple faiths in Trudvang. The Eald Tradition is the old faith of Treudvang, a polytheistic (and somewhat animistic) religion made up of gods, heroes and nature spirits that champions bravery and heroism. The most well-known deities of this religion are Whote, the creator of humanity; Othwolk, the guardian of the realm of the dead, and Shurd, Whote's son, god of evil and darkness, the father of monsters. Thuuldom is the religion of the dwarven race, and revolves around rune magic and worship of the spirits of the mountains and earth, as well as the dwarven creator-god Borjorn. Haminges is the dark, bloody faith of the Wildfolk, trolls, and other residents of Nhoordland, which reveres strength and preaches that strength can be accumulated and stolen through acts of bloodshed, murder and cannibalism. Prominent deities of Haminges are Gellti, the devouring Dark Mother goddess; Vigan, the destroyer; and Mastru, lord of lies and deception. Toikalokke is the elven faith, which revolves around studying the stars for signs from their creator-gods, the Vanir, who descended to Trudvang alongside their elven servants long ago, and then abandoned the elves when they returned to the heavens. Gerbanis is the religion of the Stormlands. It preaches that the universe is a great, chaotic storm full of evil and eldritch forces; Trudvang sits at the storm's eye and is thus the focus of attention by these dark powers. The souls of the dead are cast into the great storm; if they are strong, they can navigate to the green and beautiful realm ruled over by Stormi, who will grant them the right to settle there in exchange for journeying with him into the storm to do battle with the powers of darkness. If they are weak, they will be consumed by the evil denizens of the storm. For this reason, sacrifice is the core tenet of Gerbanis - the gods will not grant favor unless they are gifted favor first - and their sprawling pantheon is further subdivided into Sturmasirs (storm gods), Hvergelift (chaos gods), and Vanerlift (death gods). The most prominent deities of Gerbanis are Stormi (allfather, god of wisdom, might and wind), Jorn (god of night and evil), and Enken (god of nature). The Tenet of Nid is a faux-Christianity, centered around a monotheistic power called Gave, the One God, creator of all things - as well as a female Satan analogue called Simag. This is the dominant religion of Westmark and is spreading itself aggressively across the rest of Trudvang. ==Peoples== There are five races native to Trudvang; Humans, Dwarves, Half-Elves and Half-Trolls. Humans are obvious enough. They are divided into four major ethnic groups; Mittlanders, Stormlanders, Viranns (natives of Westmark), and finally Wildfolk, a catch-all term for the various savage tribes of Nhoordland. Elves are divided into two subraces; the Illmalaini (Star Elves) still cling to their vanished gods and seek to win their way back into their favor, whilst the Korpikalli (Dark Elves) have abandoned their religion and their gods as betrayers, instead turning to the powers of nature and pursuing a more barbarous life in the depths of the woods. Dwarves are divided into three subraces; Borjornikkas are the most common of them all, whilst Buratja dwarves are denizens of the deeper caverns. Zvordas, or Dwarf-Trolls, are unusually large, strong and monstrous-looking dwarves who may possibly be the result of crossbreeding between dwarves and trolls. There are female dwarves in Trudvang; known as Norgavaina by the dwarves themselves, they are described as being short, beautiful, fair-skinned and elegant creatures. However, dwarves live in gender-segregated clans, and the Norgavaina are highly reclusive, hiding in the deepest parts of the mountain; even most dwarves have never seen one! Half-Elves follow the same split as their elven progenitors; those of Illmalaini stock are called Dyfirs, whilst those of Korpikalli are called Barkbrules. Half-Trolls are divided into three racial subtype - Changelings, who are half forest troll, Gray Brutes are half gray troll, and Ogros are half ogre - but also tend to associate themselves as much with their human ethnicity as with their trollish lineage, so you might have a Wildfolk Gray Brute or a Stormlander Ogro.
