stub Swords & Wizardry is an OSR game by Frog God Games. It is a streamlining of the Dungeons & Dragons White Box. The PDF version can be downloaded for free. There are in fact three distinct versions of Swords & Wizardry: * Swords & Wizardy WhiteBox Rules is based only on the three booklets from the eponymous White Box. * Swords & Wizardy Core Rules is based on the White Box and add some rules from the first supplement (notably the Thief class). * Swords & Wizardry Complete Rules is based on the White Box plus all of the supplements. ==Swords & Wizardry WhiteBox Rules== The core of Swords & Wizardry, stay close to the original 1974 Dungeons & Dragons release with minor additions and clarifications: * An option is provided to use an ascending or descending Armor Class depending on your preference. * There is only a single Saving Throw. Three classes are available: Cleric, Fighter, and Magic-user. Non-humans races (Dwarves, Elves and Halflings) are also available, but are restricted to specific classes. ===Cleric=== Clerics can use divine magic and turn undeads. They can establish a temple once they reach the 10th level. ===Fighter=== Fighters gain an attack per level when fighting foes of one hit dice or fewer. They can build a castle and rule it as a baron once they reach the 9th level. ===Magic-user=== Magic-users can use arcane magic. Since that's fucking OP in itself, it's the only thing they can do. ==Adventures and Modules== It is worth noting that Frog God Games has released some adventures and modules for Swords & Wizardry: * The Northlands Saga: An Adventure Path set in Frog God Games usual setting, the Lost Lands. Norse mythology themed, as you would have guessed. Almost 700 pages long, as you would have guessed. Retroclones
