Runebound by [[FFG]] is a fun, if simple game, of heroes running around the generic fantasy world of ''Terrinoth''. Making things slightly confusing is the fact that the title, Runebound, is also the name of the universe, which is shared by the boardgames: Battlelore, [[Descent: Journeys in the Dark]], Dungeonquest, Legacy of Dragonholt, Rune Age, and Runewars. While this may sound like an epic crossover on paper, in reality it's just an easy way to reuse heroes, artwork, and items.

==Gameplay==
Core to Runebound is solving random quests and gaining phat lewts in an attempt to win the game, usually through acquiring dragon runes. While amusing, the game nearly plays as 30 minutes of solitaire. On the plus side, expansions for Runebound are fairly cheap, and come in tiny boxes, making it a good introductory game that has at least some replay value, if you're willing to shell out a few more dollars for one of the ''24'' different expansions.

These expansions are divided into three different categories:
*Board expansions.
*Item and ally cards.
*Challenge cards.
*Adventure variants.
*Character cards.

And, as is true for any Fantasy Flight product, each box will contain half a rain forest.
