'''Nuln''' is the '' true'' capital of [[Wissenland]] and second largest city in the Empire next to [[Altdorf]] (with whom it shares an eternal rivalry) the industrial heart of the glorious [[The Empire (Warhammer Fantasy)|Empire]] and thanks to the Countess [[Emmanuelle von Liebwitz]] it's the party capital of the Old World.

Most of the Empire's cannons are cast here alongside the finest rifles, pistols and blunderbusses. Besides the impressive smithies, Nuln is most famous for their [[THIN_YOUR_PAINTS|oil]] and gunnery school.

Sitting on the border between Wissenland, [[Averland]] and [[Stirland]] Nuln is probably one of the greatest centers of learning in the Old World, the aforementioned gunnery school produces highly skilled siege engineers to operate the innumerable black powder death machines of the Empire. While the University of Nuln offers courses in mathematics, philosophy, theology, and literature, just not the "fringe" sciences from Altdorf and of course nothing on magic since that's what the Mage's College is for.
The university is so popular students travel from as far off as Araby to learn. Oh and it's probably got ghosts from as many far-off places too considering that some students end up [[grimdark|committing suicide]] rather than returning home after failing a course here.
But at least its got its own printing press. Shame most Wissenlanders are illiterate and are fit only to work in smokey factories until they die of black lung. But hey! That's what greases the wheels of progress!

Lastly, there's the Nuln Engineers college, or the crappy ruin of it. Originally founded by Countess Emmanuelle to rival the Altdorfian one. It was almost destroyed in an act of sabotage by <s> the [[Skaven]] </s> those selfish Altdorf bastards who couldn't let Wissenland get one over on them. After a fire destroyed most of the college and what couldn't burn up fell into the sewer Emmanuelle decided "fuck it let's party" and gave only a token of funding to the reconstruction effort while she went off to plan another huge ball.

Nuln sits on a fork that diverges the River Riek from the River Aver. So much pollution flows downstream from Nuln that the only thing that keeps [[Nurgle]] from setting up a church in the harbor district is that Emmanuelle has probably already sold her tattered soul to [[Slaanesh]].

[[Half-orc]] population exiled, formed Tonayl Tribe, and came back to fuck shit up under Mudat Brokenbone's reign. Mudat got too big for his britches and tried to swindle [[Grom the Paunch]], got squished for his fuckery. Earwangle took over the Tonayl Half-Orc Tribe from there.
