Dendar the Night Serpent is a monstrous snake who was born when something had a dream for the first time in Forgotten Realms. She grows stronger by eating nightmares and is said to be destined to destroy the entire setting when she has collected enough. In third edition Dendar is CR 26. in Chult's story of the end times, Dendar will break out of the fugue plane through a door under the Peaks of Flame, and eat the sun.Ubtao was contracted by the other gods to defeat Dendar when she breaks out, in exchange for having Chult to himself. unfortunately, the prophecy was right that when that door opens, she will not be stoped. With a combination of things like Ubtao got into a funk and split himself into many Chult nature sprites, and, Evil Deities always have to do a stupid thing at the multiverse detriment, Shar had steeped foot on Chult to devour one of his Dark aspects, so the contract is probably null and void. This was confirmed, As part of Adventurer's League when Tomb of Annihilation was released, A high-level adventure where the party must stop cultists from prematurely opening the door to release Dendar, including a detailed description if the party fails with her eating the sun, the world growing cold, and then coiling around the planet to pop it like a grape. <gallery> Dendar P&P.png Dendar CoR.jpg Yuan-ti Nightmare Speaker.png|Yuan-ti malison priest of the Night Serpent </gallery>
