Editing Champions of Mystara

''Champions of Mystara'' was a big box set of [[Mystara]] lore as of 1993, based on ''[[The Voyage of the Princess Ark]]''. Mostly concentrated on the lands west of the Known World. So it covers the locations in the [[Desert Nomads series]] and [[X6: Quagmire!]] as the ''Voyage'' presented them.

By that we mean, it ''[[retcon|rewrote]]'' a lot of that lore. Absolutely minimal effort is expended to reconcile the modules with the ''Voyage'', which itself barely bothered with the source-material.

The near-wilderness Pramayama river region is here the Kingdom of Sind. The Serpent Peninsula is a whole new civilisation - to the extent that X6 is redated perforce to <i>1425 years before the present</i>. We admit: David Cook owed more to Sind in X4, and the overall X6 module was kind of shit, but still - drastic.

Some actual USDA Grade-A bullshit in here is that Sayr Ulan, which in X10 was a tent-city base for the Master, is now the capital of the Sindhi kingdom. Is there an al-Kufa / al-Hira thing going on, that the invaders set up their own base next to the older city? Fuck you DMs! You'd better figure that out.
