==Character Sheet== ===Basics=== *'''NAME:'''Ted Palm *'''Race:'''Caucasian *'''Origin:'''Kanto *'''Gender:'''Male *'''Age:'''20 *'''Height:'''6 ft. *'''Weight:'''165 lbs. *'''Eyes:'''Brown *'''Hair:'''Brown ===Background=== Ted grew up with a childhood much like any other, but where other children wanted to go out and become '''POKEMON CHAMPIONS''' or some other such thing, Ted knew he wanted to be a Pokemon Professor. So, unlike many other kids, who went off to go have ''ADVENTURES'' at a fairly young age, Ted went to study under the Kanto region's pokemon professor: Gary Oak (The previous Professor Oak having retired some years earlier). It was a tough 8 years as he learned the basics, but Ted was a quick learner, only hampered by his rather terrible luck and tendency to do thing like fall into Trapinch sandpits. Of particular interest to Ted was a specific pokemon evolution line: The Porygons. Ted obtained his first official pokemon when he personally helped develop it in Gary Oak's lab. By now the means of creating a Porygon were fairly well understood and the process was not terribly difficult. With a few personal tweaks, Ted had managed to produce an above-average Porygon specimen whom has since learned to communicate via electronic devices. While it is quite intelligent and capable of complex thought, it tends to convey messages with a bit of crypticness stemming from its odd thought processes. It was this experience that prompted Ted to choose his area of specialization. He believed Porygon, as an artificially created pokemon, was essentially modular and had a great deal of room for expansion, possibly variations that encompassed all the various typing combinations. He has hence devoted himself to a specialization in Porygons, though he is still accomplished when dealing with other pokemon. Now Ted's apprenticeship is nearly at an end; his last task before officially becoming a full-fledged pokemon professor is to do some solo field-work and he has set out to the Hoenn region chasing rumors of an unidentified pokemon having been spotted there. ===Appearance=== Nothing special in terms of physical appearance, Ted looks slightly nerdy but gains a slightly intimidating intensity when talking about subjects he's interested in. His hair is cut short and he is clean-shaven. Ted wears practical clothes that can withstand the wear and tear of dealing with occasionally unruly pokemon. ===STATS=== '''BODY''' 3 '''MIND''' 7 '''SOUL''' 4 ===Derived Stats=== Base Combat Value: 4 Attack Combat Value: 4 Defense Combat Value: 4 Damage Multiplier: 5 HIT POINTS: 35/35 SPIRIT: 55/55 ===Attributes=== Companion (Level -; 200 points for Companion): Glitch, a Porygon that Ted personally helped design. Can communicate in English, but can't talk, it has to use a machine of some sort to convey any messages. Companion (Level -; 200 points for Companion): Pit, a Trapinch that Ted captured when, on one of his first field excursions with Gary Oak, he fell into its pit. Gary still hasn't let him live that down. Organizational Ties (Pokemon Professors) (Level 1): Being a Professor in training doesn't earn Ted much respect, but other Professors do notice it. Wealth (Level 1): It doesn't pay a whole lot, but it's a more steady income than competitive battling and Ted's been saving for his first solo field work. ===Skills=== Acrobatics:0 Administration:0 Animal Training (Ground Type Pokemon):1 Architecture:0 Area Knowledge:0 Artisan:0 Biological Sciences (Pokemon):1 Boating:0 Burglary:0 Climbing:0 Computers (Porygon Programming):3 Controlled Breathing:0 Cultural Arts:0 Demolitions:0 Disguise:0 Domestic Arts:0 Driving:0 Electronics (Computers):2 Etiquette (Pokemon Professors):1 Foreign Culture:0 Forgery:0 Gaming:0 Interrogation:0 Intimidation:0 Languages:0 Law:0 Mechanics (Traps):1 Medical:0 Military Sciences:0 Navigation:0 Occult:0 Performing Arts:0 Physical Sciences (Mathematics):1 Piloting:0 Poisons:0 Police Sciences:0 Powerlifting:0 Riding:0 Seduction:0 Sleight of Hand:0 Social Sciences:0 Sports:0 Stealth (Concealment):1 Street Sense:0 Swimming:0 Urban Tracking:0 Visual Arts:0 Wilderness Survival (Mountain):1 Wilderness Tracking (Mountain):1 Writing (Academic Reports):1 ===Defects=== Easily Distracted (-3): Ted is devoted to his profession, any unusual or outright unknown pokemon will immediately draw his attention and he won't stop pursuing until he has had a chance to study it or it has gotten away without any chance of catching up to it. Less Capable (Soul, Major:Luck; -2): Ted is incredibly unlucky. Less Capable (Mind, Minor:Common Sense; -2): Ted tends to let his enthusiasm get the best of him pretty often and thus doesn't always make the wisest decisions. ===Inventory and Equipment=== ==Pokemon Sheets== '''Nickname:'''<br/> '''Pokemon:'''<br/> '''Type:'''<br/> ===STATS=== '''BODY''' 1 '''MIND''' 0 '''SOUL''' 0 ===Derived Stats=== Base Combat Value: Attack Combat Value: Defense Combat Value: Damage Multiplier: HIT POINTS: SPIRIT: ===Attributes=== ===Skills=== ''Please add them at your leisure, but in general most pokemon won't have much in the way of skills, or any for that matter.'' ===Defects===
