Their specialty was "Fortification Research" or, in laymans terms seige expertise. They would work to beseige any designed fortification Dorn and his engineers designed. During the Tau expansion, Lord Gulliman Justinian Vendee reached out to Rogal Dorn for the creation of a successor chapter to defend against T'au space.
