===Light Infantry=== *'''Deva Functionaries:''' Devas are a mid to high cost Light Infantry. She is tough with V:NWI. Devas have very nice selection of options and tools. The WIP15 and BTS3 is very good for the rather expensive Hacker. There is a MSV2 with Spitfire - the only MSV2 Spitfire option in ALEPH. The Sensor Deva is a very interesting choice and for only 24pts. Then finally the Deva + Devabot brings an extra body with HFT to the fray making them a dangerous duo. Devas make for a great WIP15 Lieutenant option as well. Stay away from Viral and Shock. *'''Sophotects:''' Sophotects are the best specialists in the game: fast 6-4MOV, WIP15 Doctor AND Engineer, D-Charges for Sabotage and V:NWI for added survival. However, She pays for it in the cost. **Use her bots until you absolutely have to run her out for objectives. She's a high priority target, since everyone wants to break Aleph's best toys. *'''Posthumans, PROXY Mk.1:''' The Proxy Mk1 is a very inexpensive specialist option for the Posthuman unit. Only 14pts for a regular Hacking Device, and 10pts for either an Engineer or Doctor. At WIP15 she can get any job done. BS13 with Mimetism makes her very accurate in firefights, and if she takes an impact ARM2 and V:NWI keeps her up and fighting. The Mk1 is a very capable shooter and specialist. *'''Ekdromoi:''' The AD troop for the Steel Phalanx. They have an Assault Hacker for a good price. The Chain Rifle option is only 20pts which is a steal for an AD troop with Super Jump. **'''Diomedes, Ekdromoi Officier:''' Diomedes is great at rampaging through the opponent's backfield. He's a very expensive trooper, but he's good at what he does. One of the few AD troopers with a second wound thanks to V:NWI. *'''Thamyris the Aoidos:''' A very short ranged, but good Hacker. ALEPH has plenty of hacker options so his Pitchers may be very relevant. *'''Dactyls:''' Dactyls will be your budget Sophotects. Sophotects are much better, but Dactyls are cheaper and better armed. However, they can be either a Doctor or Engineer - NOT both like the Sophotect. **'''Acmon, Sergeants of Dactyls:''' Acmon is the only Dactyl Character. He is a strong engineer option with good BS and WIP. Fireteam: Duo is an interesting thought, but maintaining the Duo costs orders (Teampro) and Command Tokens (reforming a fireteam). *'''Drakios, Steel Phalanx NCO:''' Drakios is a very strong aggressive unit. His best weapon is the Red Fury option for that extended range band and he may also bring 1 or 2 Devabot Kydoimos. He and his Devabots all have Albedo, a situational skill but a very useful on against MSV troopers. *'''Scylla, Steel Phalanc NCO:''' Scylla offers a whole lot of board control in ALEPH especially if you're bringing a few hackers. Like Drakios, she comes in with 1 or 2 Devabot Charydis, which are Devabots with a built in Repeater. She creates a massive mobile hacking bubble for herself and all of her hacker friends. Scylla herself isn't as combat effective as Drakios, so she needs to be safe while aggressive enough to make an impact with those Devabots and Repeaters. She's BS12 and armed with a Boarding Shotgun and each bot carries a HFT, so she's not bad in a fight - just a soft target. Also remember that Scylla's Devabots (repeaters) must stay in Zone of Control or they'll disconnect; This means enemy hackers could use her Devabots to hack away at Scylla. *'''Andromeda, Sophistes of the Steel Phalanx:''' She's even less useful in Aleph than she is in Steel Phalanx. There's just no place for her here, because ALEPH still has Thrasymedes and also Nagas, Dasyus and Posthumans PROXY Mk2 and Mk5. *'''Danavas:''' A more dedicated hacking LI platform, they're frail sporting a wound and some light armour. They come with a combi-rifle + pitcher and a breaker pistol in case things get too close. However, the Danavas hacking gear is the thing you choose them for - your choice is between an AHD with Icebreaker upgrade or HD+ with Maestro upgrade. At 25 pts and 0.5 SWC at their most expensive, these girls are a haxor budget bargain compared to other hacker options in the army. *'''Shukra Consultants:''' Shukra Consultants provide a cheaper Chain of Command alternative. While the Myrmidon Officer is a capable fighter, the Shukra takes on a far more passive role providing a LT safety net and a situational but useful Counterintelligence skill. *'''Apsaras:''' While super useful in OSS, they struggle to find a spot in vanilla. ** Jumper L:Z is less exciting when you can only boost a single remote. If you like the idea of a buffed remote (like a Rudras) then consider adding her in for the stat boost, extra order, and deployment zone protection... otherwise don't bother. ** KHD: if you have a repeater net set up she's a cheap addition to your hacking options. But with her short range guns, lack of marker states, and lack of forward deployment, she falls down on the 'shiny' scale. *'''Warcor:''' Cheap and Irregular 3pt WIP13 Flash Pulse dude. Take them if you got a few points left over. Don't underestimate how useful they are as an ARO piece. Though for 3pts a Yudbot for your Sophotect could be just as useful. *'''Authorized Bounty Hunters:''' Often overlooked because Aleph already has fantastic units that cover the same roles as the ABH, and Aleph also needs all the regular order they can get. **'''Miranda Ashcroft:''' Mostly same as the ABH except Myrmidons gets things done better than Miranda. *'''Krakot Renegades:''' They have an interesting set of weapons and skills, and they're not very expensive while still remaining regular. They are, however, Impetuous, but not Extremely Impetuous. They're not contributing anything the rest of the army couldn't do (depending on the MetaChemistry L2 roll), but 14pts for a regular order may be worth considering. Unless you take Thorakitai, or have a hacker, in which case REMs like Daleth or Dakini Tacbots are far more valuable. *'''Knauf, Outlaw Sniper:''' Knauf is the first miniature to come out of "Outrage", Infinity's own first manga. Knauf is an excellent Marksman with at BS13 and an above average CC19. The rest of his stats are unfairly unremarkable. However, his list of skills and equipment include Mimetism, MSV1, Stealth, and Marksmanship L1 - and he wields a Multi Sniper Rifle making him a hard to hit sniper with a very versatile range of Ammo options. In Aleph, you might have some trouble fitting him in because of the already pricey costs of her troopers, but also because Aleph already have a great range of snipers. Knauf stands out for his combination of Marksmanship L1 and the MSR which applies Shock damage to every shot - super deadly against 1W Infantry. Don't forget that MSRs also have Stun ammunition, which will force 2 BTS rolls for Stun and <s>1 ARM roll for Shock.</s> ''(MM lvl 1 doesn't work on stun amo as they are non-lethal)'' *'''Cuber Jaegers, Mercenary Recoverers:''' *'''Aida Swanson, Submondo Smuggler:'''
