===In Pathfinder=== Mystic is class introduced in ''[[Book of Nine Swords|Path of War - Expanded]]''. Like [[Swordsage]], it focuses on the openly supernatural disciplines. By default, it's the only class with the Elemental Flux and has special abilities that make that discipline more effective, as well as abilities that make them magical. The downside is you are never fully in control of what Manuevres you have available, as several of them come to you randomly in combat, and when you can't gain any more you reset in an explosion of arcane energy. Probably what Arcane Swordsage would have been if it was an actual class. It has three archetypes which change the class in a fairly major way Aurora Soul: Much closer to a monk / fighter type, than the insane gish mashup that is baseline Mystic, loses bonus feats, and the ability to make magic items in exchange for powerful Unarmed attacks, and a permanent WIS bonus to Touch / Flat-Footed / Regular AC. Gunsmoke Mystic: Does what it says on the tin, you use guns as a method for delivering manuevres, trades away bonus feats and two rather powerful anti-magical abilities in exchange for essentially free, unlimited ammo, Gun-Fu, and an improved, and scaling, version of Rapid Reload that eventually stops people from AoOing you on reloading or firing in melee range. Is also exceptionally front loaded, gaining several extra abilities at early level, without replacing others. Knight Chandler: The real treasure was the Friends we made along the way, the class. Trades out the Mystic's animus feature, glyphic area buffs, and natural anti-magic for a lot of slowly building, but quite powerful buffs. Emphasises the team-player aspects of the Mystic above and beyond the Glyphic area buffs. {{PF-3PP-Classes}}
