====Recruitment and Training====
The recruitment of future Paladins depends on tournaments of various non-lethal combats. Victory by an aspirant is no guarantee, nor is recruiting both combatants of these duels uncommon. The Sanguinary Priest and Chaplain who observe these honour-fights search for many qualities. Rage, mercilessness, control, and honour are noted, sometimes more than skill of arms. For should a skilled fighter be out of control of himself he will be consumed by the Black Rage.
After the aspirants are selected, the Priests inject a rage-inducing cocktail. The chaplain then instructshis young charges in the first dogmas of meditation on the Emperor. Those able to maintain calm, or at least to not give in, for 12 hours are given relief and guided to continue the training process. Failures are turned away, returned from whence they came.
