==Suzerain Government== At the Suzerain Level The Imperium of man is "First Among Equals" with its "Allies." These allies are considered to be sovereign in their own internal affairs united in a personal union under the Emperor of Mankind, who they recognize as their sovereign lord. With The Emperor in dire health, these nations can be ordered to act on behest of the Triumvirate. Each of these nations also have a representative at the high lords of Terra and as such can both influence and be influenced by them. ===Adeptus Mechanicus=== TBA. But its essentially just the Vanilla Mechanicus ===[[MedHammer_40,000_Ultramar | Royum Ultramari]]=== <!---Space Bretonia with a Renaissance French, Lombard, and French Colonial Aesthetic---> Proud, petty, and zealous warriors; the Realm of Ultramar was granted its independence following the devastation of the great treachery. While never reaching the heights of its past under the the Divine Aurelian, Roboute Gulliman, they have rebuilt themselves into a chaotic yet vibrant collection of nobility, free space marines, and religious orders. Their navy and shock troops have been invaluable to the Imperium's War effort. Ultramar, following the Treaty of Chorgoris after the Great Treachery of Lorgar was recognized to be independent in its own affairs. The Realm of Ultramar still recognizes the Emperor as its Sovereign Lord, as well as the Father of their god The Aurelian. Half of Gulliman’s remaining legions were donated to the Codex Astartes, who serve the Imperium at large and answer only to the Emperor. Ultramar, according to the Treaty, answers only to the Emperor himself, but in practice usually works with Corvus Corax, Ultima Adeptus and Liaison to Ultramar, and Jaghatai Khan, the “Book-Keeper” and “The Master of Chapters.” Ultramar is governed as a collection of Feudal Kingdoms under the Suzerainty of Ultramarines Chapter Master. Worlds of Ultramar are De Jure "Independent" from the Imperium because of the events of The Urizen Insurrection (destruction of maccragge, warp-storms, suspicion of other primarchs), but in reality The Imperium exerts as much control over its "Ally" Ultramar as it does any distant realm of the Imperium. This is in no small part thanks to the Work of Jaghatai Khan, who took the Notes of His Buddy Rouboute for The Codex Astartes, and Christopher Tolkein'd them into The "Codex Astartes." Under the Codex Most of The White Scars, Orphaned Ultramarines, and Loyalists abandon their legions to act as independent chapters that would work in Ultramar and The Imperium, while still being personally loyal to the Emperor (not any Primarch or admin of Terra). In the 41st Millennium, Ultramar is Space Bretonia complete with A deified Tarasha Euten Serving as the Lady of The Lake (as well as Mary in Catholicism/Orthodoxy). Ultramar is covered with noble houses who religiously follow the Codex Astartes (as well as Gulliman's other Writings), and will go on quests for the "Great Mother's" Favor. This Universe's "The Black Templars" are called the "The Black Eutenites" who are essentially a Collection of Grail Knights and Knights Errant, who go Lorgar Hunting. The are "Black" because they Paint over their previous Chapter Insignia to denote their service exclusively to "The Queen Mother." The Capitol of Ultramar is now Espandor (Space Vatican), with Calth (Space Santiago) and a rebuilt Maccragge (Space Jerusalem) being Sites of Holy Pilgrimage. The Refugees of Maccragge have become a special nobility in Ultramar, with families taking the names of the Evacuation ships. ===Curellian Socii (Wuni Enclaves)=== <!---Space Taiwan---> A Rump State whose existence is owed to the permanence of government institutions and titles. Origionally it was the Tributary name of the T'au conquered and made subject by the Imperium in M36. However since then the Revolt of the "Ethereals" in M39 saw nearly all of the T'au break off from the Imperium's control, claiming full independence. What reamained were a few backwaters who cling to the Imperium's protection. These planets consist mainly of Former Water Caste dissidents and revolutionaries and Earth caste refugees. Mockingly called the Wuni (Mud caste) by the other T'au, the Curellian Socii have attempted to build their ideal casteless state in the shadow of the Imperium's benign neglect. They have been relatively successful as backwaters became vibrant worlds sharing a peculiar blend of Ultramarine, Imperium and archaeo-T'au culture. ===[[MedHammer_40,000_Macharios#Grand_Macharia|Grand Macharia]]=== <!---If Macharius is Space Alexander, then this is Space Greco-Bactrian kingdoms with a mixture of 19th Century Latin America (William Walkers's Nicaragua, De Rosa's Argentina, Diaz and Santa Anna's Mexico)---> Grand Macharia represents the frontier of the Imperium and is a military state. Located in the former Segmentum Tempestus, the great commander and adventurer Macharius Solar led a personal crusade with his allies to break the Segmentum Pacificus from Chaos's control. The "State of Grand Macharia" was a creation of the Regency government when conflicts between The Great Conqueror Solar Macharius and The High Lords of Terra came to a head. Macharius was granted a portion of territory he conquered to govern as a fully independent nation, provided he provide a significant force for Sanguinius' war effort. Following Macharius' premature death under suspicious circumstances, the State is governed by his generals in what some in the Imperium have referred to as "a permanent transitional government."
