==Other things== '''Faust's Pillars''' A sprawling nebula of several gargantuan columns, lit in greens and blues by the fledgling stars contained within. The cosmic dust in these columns plays with most conventional shipboard instruments, making environmental detection difficult. In addition, all psychic effects within the nebula are dampened. The light of the Astronomican, whilst present, is dimmed here, although entities of the warp suffer similar difficulties. To put it simply, this thing is the reason there are so few Astropaths in this sector. Rumours of an ancient Archaotech world, teeming with treasure and lost secrets, have spurred many foolish captains into Faust's Pillars with dreams of riches beyond their wildest imaginings. Those who venture forth into the pillars do not often return. The other rumour of note is more sinister: a demon of the Warp, unbound from the Ruinous powers, has sheltered within the Columns for eons, lest one of the great Chaos Gods see and enslave them. Such a demon would be powerful, but desperate. Of course, both rumours are completely unfounded, and thus far have no basis in fact. '''Judgement's Rocks''' There's a rather substantial asteroid belt between two gas giants orbiting the Star Salutis, mostly barren rock. Some of the asteroids, however, are the site of a small colony of the Imperium's faithful, the remnants of a Rogue Trader Ship come to wreck after warp jumping into the belt itself. The Judgement Citadel belonged to a well-to-do Rogue Trader Dynasty that has since died out well over a millennium ago. The wreck itself is some 2 millennia old. At the initial wreckage, large portions of the ship remained intact, but disconnected and disparate from the others, and although crew losses were near total, the few hundred survivors had the tech and skill between them to repurpose their broken ship into a more permanent semi-stable habitat on the asteroid belt. Over the centuries, what were temporary solutions became more permanent, as it became clear that no help was incoming. And so the colony of Retribution's Rock was founded, built from the scrap of the Sword of Retribution herself. By the nature of things, most of the tech that allows Judgement's Rock to exist is considered tech heresy. This, combined with their unstable political status, left the surviving generations paranoid of persecution. As such, the colony of Judgement's Rocks reconnected with the Imperium as a loyal and surpsingly well-armed ally some 500 years ago. Sincethen , there's been an ongoing political struggle between those who would champion the colony's devotion to The Emperor and sheer grit, and those who wish to declare them all Tech Heretics and purge the whole bloody lot of them. '''Smuggler's Glory''' A supposed nexus of uncharted Warp routes leading to all over the Imperium, although the location of the exit nodes change with each story's retelling. The one consistent feature behind each story is that this "Warp Nexus" is located just beyond the event horizon of a rather large black hole. Most captains familiar with this story consider it to be fiction, and those that pursue it to be complete idiots. Due to Neglecta's abundance of complete idiots, the story persists. '''The Dome''' Appears to be a particularly large black hole kept in check by some serious ancient human Archaotech. It is a black sphere seemingly made of glass, with a metal cube on top and another metal cube in orbit. The Ad-mech are in orbit as well-- they can't resist ancient human-made machines after all-- but are hesitant to tinker with the ancient human tech in case they inadvertently turn it off; the size and position of the black hole within would surely spell doom for the non-sector. It has thus become a sort-of base for tech priests, who are waiting for reinforcements or instructions on what to do, but due to all the problems in this sector, it's been about 200,0000 years now and no reinforcements, Titan Legions, or in fact anyone important will probably be ever sent here. '''The Murdalation Complex''' Space Hulk. The Space Hulk is just a bunch of Orks, Genestealers, and Slaaneshi Cultists getting pissy and killing one another, every 2 1/2 years the Shrien World sends religious fanatics to try and reclaim a Black ship that got stuck in this mess, and the space hulk turns into Orks, Genestealers, Slaaneshi Cultists and Sisters of Battle getting pissy and killing one another. Also, it's infested with parasitic murder trees that are so tough and well armoured, they are pratically unkillable, and also they hunger for Tau flesh. Yes, the Orks bring captured Tau to this death trap. Yes, the Tau do try to take them back and run into the Death Trees. There's a 84% casualty rate and only the presence of a legendary Tau warrior survivor, who is basically Tau Rambo, keeps the enslaved Tau from killing themselves out of despair. Meanwhile, the Eldar come here with their local not-a-Harlequin madman to hunt the Death Trees for sport. That's not the Dark Eldar-- actual, theoretically sane Eldar, who shouldn't even want to be in several light years of a Space Hulk that contains a Slaanesh Daemon Prince, are coming here. ---- ===Threads=== First Neglecta Thread [https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/61579829/#q61579829] Second Neglecta Thread [https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/61632588/#q61632588] Third Thread [https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/61671730/#q61671730] Fourth Thread [https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/61698799/#q61698799] Fifth Thread [https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/61762635/#q61762635] [[Category:/tg/ 40,000]]
