Sometime after the introduction of the [[Tau]] and the re-introduction of the [[Necrons]], the game underwent a shift. Heroes became a little more powerful, and the Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, and Imperial Guard even got 2nd Codices, which brought back some things that had been left behind, and even added new things. Most of these were basically preludes to the shape of 4th Edition.
