==Age Of Sigmar== Most races in AoS are functionally identical to before the end of the world other than almost every character being dead and having <strike>interesting</strike> copyright friendly renames. Like in Warhammer 40000, Goblins are Grots, so now Forest Goblins are Spiderfang Grots. Origins wise millenia ago in the Age of Myth the various Grot tribes diverged from one another and spread out throughout the realms. The ancestors of the Spiderfangs made their homes in the dark forests of Hysh to esape its blinding light. However these dark woods were already home to many large and aggressive spiders. The most aggressive of which were the Archnarok. Through generations of being forced to deal with these aggressive predators they came to a sort of Symbiotic relationship with the various spider species such as using them as mounts. However the Archnaroks, the largest of the spider species, were very difficult to deal with and were beyond truly taming. Around this time they began to communicate directly with a being they referred to as the Spider-God (though whether they made contact first or the Spider-God reached out to them isn't entirely known). Through this communion they found that the Archarok's generally spared those who displayed Totems and markings of the Spider-Gods worship and thus they began making their settlements in and around the nests of these giant spiders in exchange for food or showing them where to find it (namely neighboring settlements). This Grot subculture eventually made mutual cause with the Moonclan Grots over many centuries of trade and interaction. The Spiderfang and Moonclan Grots eventually being unified in the Gloomspite Gitz faction. The Spiderfang tribe, like the Moonclan, also reveres the Bad Moon, albeit they believe it to be the giant egg of the Spider-God. In there interpretation one day when the Spider-God reigns supreme it will crack open, and shower all the realms in spiders (whether or not this is true is highly debatable). In the January 2021 issue of White Dwarf, a complete "Spiderfang Grot" faction debuted in the form of the Grimscuttle Tribes.
