=== Background === A Sidereal Exalted of honest face and a knack for Fate, discovered wandering far to the East. He accepted the offer of training and safety (under duress of the Wyld Hunt). He was assigned due training to make himself more easily placed in situations that do not require more than friendliness and a bit of searching. Due to his knacks, his bureaucratic knowledge was gained by working with the archives of Fate. In that dusty and lonesome area he spoke to what seemed to be able to hear, even if they did not: The pattern spiders. A few years one even seemed to become a "friend." Afterward, he met the Sideral court of internal affairs. "But... what have I done wrong?" "You have bound one of the ancient pattern spider to yourself. This carries its own difficulties and distraction the construct from the Loom of Fate. Further, you yourself have directly tampered with and removed the spider without proper authorization." "...Well, er, at least what needed to get done, right?" "Yes, but that is another offense. Due to lack of actual damage in the process, we are overlooking it-this time. As such, you have been deemed temporarily unfit for working there. Until you have been re-assigned, consider yourself temporarily dismissed and under house arrest." T_T With a heavy heart he headed home, nervously awaiting the outcome of what he had done. Within three days a box had been sent to his home. It contained his spider-which immediately leapt onto his face-a starmetal pistol with 6 etched on the side, a piece of paper, and an envelope. The paper was a registration slip for a Disintegrator. The envelope was his new job: Locate errant Sideral Exalts and all others altering the Loom of Fate. If possible, recruit them. If they are deemed too dangerous and refuse recruitment, kill them and then remove them from the Loom if necessary. Further, he is to locate and confiscate the plans for a vehicle called "The Metal Slug." After three years his assignment would come up for review. Until that time, he is not allowed back into the Blessed Isles.
