=== Background === tl;dr Realm strategist gets Exalted after tricking beastmen while badly injured. Gets taken to a den on the edge of Creation to be mentored and has fun stories and adventures with that. Eventually leaves and wanders the rim of Creation, learning the ways of the Swords of Luna and gathering animals' forms as he goes, battling an addiction to Heart's Blood. Feels a tug on his soul and heads back into Creation, eventually ending up in An-Teng just as a great battle reached its climax. Remy Corbett had been a Dynast, once. Rather, he had been a stripling youth that never received the gift of the Dragon's might, taking his place among the Minor House of Adelyn's slowly growing Dragonblooded numbers. Nonetheless, family had always been paramount, and Remy had learned to get over his situation and commit entirely to assisting the growth of his House. What happened later was purely by mistake, his family assisting in a Wyld Hunt that eventually led from the inner rim of the Threshold to nearly its bounds, the Lunar prey keeping one step ahead the entire time. Until the Solars came, and with their Lunar allies and their bands of beastmen ambushed the Realm contingent as they closed on the new Anathema. In that battle, nearly all of the soldiers died, the potency of the Solars' and Lunars' Charms more than even the teams of Dragonblooded and Sidereal in accompaniment could handle. Yet numbered among the survivors was Remy, who, while injured grievously, managed to escape the battlefield by posing as one of the beastmen using the furs the Realm's hunters had gathered during the march. Suffice that even though the youth was ideologically opposed to the notion of Exaltation as per the Immaculate Philosophy's demands of the Realm, Luna found perhaps some humour, and indeed some merit in his actions, and appeared before him as he lay dying in the wavering moonlight of the blood-soaked night. Etc Etc if you want me to write it all I will.
