=== Background === Smilin' Jack wasn't always an insane murder man. No... he started out quite noble. As a young lad, he stole food from carts to share with his friends... usually only a loaf of bread or a piece of fruit. However, one doesn't go and steal for a livin' without getting caught for long. His punishment? A long cut was made in right cheek. It was still bleeding when Jack looked at himself in a mirror. With a knife, he proceeded to even out, putting another curling cut on his left cheek... and putting a curling tip on his right. When he finally healed up a few weeks later, he looked like he had a creepy, sardonic grin etched on his face. Hence, he was known as Jack the Grin. A few more years passed when he found himself leading a cell of freedom fighters. Stealing from the rich, giving to the poor, trying to overthrow the evil government. Or at least until the group got caught in a trap. His friend lying dead, dying, and broken... only he was standing, to shell shocked to do anything with the smug prince approached him. To this day... he doesn't remember what he was told, all he remembers is grabbing the poor fool and looking him in the eye, smiling. "You want death, little man? I'll give you death like you never seen!" The room became an abattoir, a thick puddle of blood lying on the floor. When a demon started whispering in his ear, he smiled again. He liked what the guy had goin' for him. And what better way to fight the power...t hen with power of his own.
