==Manifest Zones== In unpredictable parts of the world, the other planes of Eberron bleed into the prime material and change fundamental laws of physics. Often these are temporary (though the duration is generally as unpredictable as always), but many are permanent. In most settings, this kind of thing is treated as a novelty, or a hazard. In Eberron, these are considered natural resources to be exploited. [[Sharn]], the world's largest city and the only one built vertically, is built on a manifest zone to Syrania. If that zone were severed, the city would fall like Wile E. Coyote upon suddenly remembering gravity was a thing. Aerenal, the ancestral homeland of the Elves, houses one of the biggest manifest zones to the plane of positive energy, thus allowing their rulers to live as Deathless, essentially liches without the absolute moral blackness usually seen in other D&D settings.
