== Background ==
SINLORIEL is of average height and build for a High Elf of her gender, standing at a slender 5’3” with shoulder-length platinum-blonde hair and a piercing green gaze. Her right eye is apparently missing as she wears a patch over it, but this does not seem to inconvenience her in the slightest. Unlike most High Elves she chooses to eschew jewellery, save for a small, modest-looking gold locket she wears about her neck at all times. When pressed for its origin she changes the subject. She wears a shirt of finely worked elven mithril chain dyed black so as not to reflect light over a simple wool tunic, soft-soled boots for sneaking, form-fitting leather breeches fitted with multiple straps for securing tools and weapons, and a dark spidersilk cape with a hood to obscure her shape in and out of combat. Her preferred weapon is an elegant Quel'dorei rapier, of which she is an incredibly skilled duelist with. A fair fight is not her chosen modus operandi, however, and if given the opportunity she will flee, to return later from a more advantageous angle – when her target’s back is exposed, for example. She is also exceptionally proficient with the multiple daggers she carries concealed on her person, both thrown and in melee combat. 

Roughly a young adult by Elven standards, Sinloriel is estimated to be around 90 years of age, although she declines to comment on the subject. She has definitely been around for and potentially involved in all three Great Wars between the Alliance and Horde – on both sides. Called by some a mercenary and others a profiteer, her only true allegiance is gold and does not discriminate on the race, faction, or ideology of her employer. Skilled at infiltration, information gathering, assassination and sabotage, she has made a good living for herself selling her services to the highest bidder, though this has of course made her powerful enemies on both sides of the fence.

Little is known of Sinloriel’s past or life before the wars, with all the turmoil that has occurred on Azeroth over the previous century. Like most if not all High Elves it is assumed she was born and raised in Quel’Thelas. She has never mentioned her family, and attempts at locating her roots have met with failure – unsurprising given the destruction and death inflicted upon the forest kingdom during the Third War. The surname ‘Sanguinar’ is common enough amongst the Quel’dorei, and may possibly be a pseudonym. She has never been seen with or heard to mention any family, friends or lovers – possibly out of the lonely nature of her chosen profession, or perhaps to ensure their safety from retaliation.

Personality-wise, Sinloriel is soft-spoken, calm, and self-assured. She feels no need to boast, brag, or publicly display her abilities and prefers to keep a low profile whenever possible – a prudent attitude, considering the number and influence of enemies she has accumulated over her many years as a spy and assassin. Cool-headed, confident, and above all businesslike, she does not allow personal or moral quandaries – if she has any – to interfere with her work. This has given her a reputation for amorality, but as she puts it, “I’m just one woman trying to make my way in the world.”
