Editing Gemini Legion

What happens when you take [[Blood Angels]], mix in a little [[Alpha Legion]], and sprinkle some [[Pretty Marines]] on top? You get the <s>un</s>holy terror that is the Gemini Legion.

The Gemini Legion is a Chapter of the Space Marines obsessed with the concept of "two heads are better than one." They recruit only twins, <s>brainwash</s> mentally condition the twins to adapt a near-telepathic link with each other, and participate in <s>incestuous sodomy</s> "bonding rituals" before battle to improve performance.

==The Ambiguously Gay Chapter==
The Gemini Legion was originally founded to stand against the projected threat of a Tyranid Hive Fleet on a course for their sector. Due to an unforseen stall or a miscalculation, the Hive Fleet has diverged away from the sector; however, the Chapter has focused their attention the threat of Chaos cults growing nearby. Their creation began as an experiment to create a more efficient Space Marine. By modifying the availabe Blood Angels Gene-seed, it was thought that Imperial scientist could create a Space Marine with a metaphysical, near telepathic link with another Space Marine. The experiment resulted in a Chapter who breeds synchronization into its initiates, both genetically and through constant conditioning. 

Each prospective member of the Gemini Legion is part of a pair of twins. This is believed to asisst in the bonding process. A reverence for twins is one of the Chapter's many cult beliefs. The Gemini Legion also believes that every man is one half of a whole, and unifying the two in both mind and body brings them closer to The Emperor. As such, paired Marines participate in physical "bonding rituals" before battle (their hyper-stimulated Omophagea causes them to crave the flesh of their brothers). These rituals fall into their total reverence of the human form, believing everything about Man to be perfect and beautiful.

Gifted with unity and beauty, the Gemini Legion is also gifted with a beautious homeworld in Thebes. Thebes is a verdant paradise world, covered mostly in fertile plains and small city-states. The Fortress-Monestary of Cadmea is where the Chapter makes their stay. The city of the same name, beneath the fortress, is the capital from which the local Governor-stewards rule the planet under the guidance of their Angels of Death.

===Gene-seed Flaws===
Whether brought about by their mental conditioning, a modification to the Red Thirst, or both, Marines of the Gemini Legion suffer from a deep codependency; a Marine that loses his parnter in battle will succumb to a blood-thirsty rage from which he may never return.

Another perculiar flaw in the Gemini Legion is the growth of a second head. While there are no apparent deficiencies or benefits in battle, those to grow another head are said to be more receptive to other brothers, and as such, more likely to promotion. Their Gene-seed also leads to much more aesthetically appealing Astartes, which leads them to have a strong alliance with the Pretty Marines, and an absolute abhorrence to the legions of Nurgle. 

===Combat Doctrine===
The Gemini Legion is almost completely adherrent to the Codex Astartes, with a few small exceptions. For one, they believe in a perfect symmetry in everything, particularly wargear. 

Every squad will have weaponry and armor balanced in pairs, even going as far two making Marines choose to have twin Bolt Pistols or twin chainswords. 

The Chapter also hands down promotions based on a Marine's ability to unify with more and more brothers: A basic Tactical Marine is bonded to a single partner, whereas a Sargeant can link with three to five partners, a veteran with five to ten partners, and a Captain with multiple squads. Their Chapter Master, Ramiel Leiram, has the ability to synchronize with his whole Chapter, though at a great cost. This ability is granted to him by some latent psychic power, though tapping into this power causes him to suffer from psionic migraines that may one day surrender him to the Warp. 

The Gemini Legion reveres twin-linking as the pinnacle of technology, and makes as much use of twin-linked weaponry as possible. 

As a Chapter that favors charging straight into an enemy with no hesitation, they adore Steel Rain Drop Pod Assaults, and will use these when given the opportunity. This, combined with the difficulty of finding twins willing to become Space Marines, may be the reason the Chapter is losing strength by the year, and may be extinct by the end of the 41st Milennium.
